This course is for refrigeration and air conditioning apprentices and
others employed in the industry.
You will learn to select, install, commission, maintain, fault-find and
repair refrigeration and air conditioning components and systems in
domestic, commercial and/or industrial applications.
This qualification meets the NSW Office of Fair Tradings licensing
requirements for issuing "Qualified Supervisors Certificate -
Refrigeration and/or Air Conditioning". This permits the holder to work
unsupervised on refrigeration and/or air conditioning systems and
associated electrical work. It also meets the federal Ozone Protection and
Synthetic Greenhouse Gas Management Regulations 1995 and its 2005
Amendment requirements for the Full Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
Licence, which is required to handle a refrigerant for any work in the
refrigeration and industry, other than automotive industry.
